2013 coming to end kind of terrifies me. It’s right there, barely more than a month away, telling me “you’ll forget about me”.
Because in 2013, I’ve focused only on the projects at hand. The novels and ideas from 2012 sit in a folder, somewhere – on this computer? On my last laptop? In some cloud somewhere? Waiting for me to visit them again. And the times I have visited, twice maybe, I can’t believe I’ve left them, abandoned them, to the far reaches of my memory and disc space.
As much as I love the holidays (yes, I’m the person that enjoys the holiday music and the abundance of lights), I don’t want to forget about my inventions. I hope that 2013 will be a positive lesson, that the past may hold just as much promise as the future.
